03. Hand Quilting: One Design, Two Threads – 11th June

Hand quilting is a running stitch made through all three layers of a quilt. In this hand stitching workshop you will learn how addictive hand quilting can be and try out two different thickness of threads. You will be able to sample different types and lengths of needles to find one which truly works for you. If you have never tried a thimble before there will be chance to try different types. During the workshop you will learn how to transfer traditional feather motifs onto a beautiful cotton linen textured fabric, you will layer this up with a thin polyester wadding and backing fabric. Once this is completed you will quilt beautiful feathers and learn techniques for started and finishing your stitches. All resources are included in the cost of this workshop.

This workshop takes place between 10:00am to 4:00pm.

Lunch is not included, but there is a cafe on site.
